Presen-tense travel.
I have often described travel as sacred to me. It is a word that I come back to often, when I think of travel.
Sacred, something dedicated for the service or worship of a deity. Something worthy of spiritual respect or devotion. Often ascribed to objects or places.
While I did not grow up in a religious family, we always said family was our religion. As a family that has always valued travel and experiences, travel then became sacred. The world became my church. Each location with a new lesson to teach. A new language to learn A new perspective to understand. A new flavor to expand our palette.
The Church teaches us lessons such as generosity, hope, love, peace, respect, courage, and kindness. Travel has taught me the same. Both encourage the present. The present teaches us to feel.
Through both my freelance work and personal content creation, I center on present-tense travel, bringing the destination to the traveler before the travel to the destination. I hope to inspire people to not only experience the world more deeply when travelling, but also apply that sense of presence to their everyday lives, allowing them to find novelty, adventure, and peace in their surrounding environment as well.
